Dancing
When I was young, my mom had signed me up for Polish folk dancing and ballroom. I had the privilege of being able to compete in competitions and travelled to Poland for a tour when I was 12. Naturally, as I got older my time for dance became less and less and was lucky enough if I could go to a club and dance my lil tooshie off. Only recently did my passion for dance reignite with pole fitness…
I have always fascinated by these beautiful human beings who looked like these flawless ballerinas and thought “Man, I wish I could do that!”
Mind you I still have a LONG ways to go but I have come a long way since my first “doe in headlights” class. That being said a very huge THANK YOU to all of the instructors at @AerialFiftyTwo who have taught me everything I know thus far!
I am also extremely lucky and thankful that I have an amazing job with an amazing boss at an amazing bar! Since the pandemic, my boss has graciously set up a pole for me on the stage where we used to host rock bands. It used to sit right in the middle of the stage, then when we heard we could re-open with proper precautions, our manager installed plexiglass on the stage, in hopes that we could get Karaoke Thursdays restarted again, but alas, we didn’t stay open for long… Now with limited space stage and plexiglass in the way, I lasted just a couple of songs before completely slamming my body against the two pieces of glass where I scraped, pinched, bruised my leg and immediately started bleeding. So needless to say my wonderful manager moved it further AWAY from the plexiglass, I put down some vinyl floor tiles around it, some neon lights, and I now have my own little practice corner. Thank you @SeeScape !
No Pain No Gain
I THOROUGHLY recommend Pole Fitness to ANYONE looking to build their strength, flexibility, confidence, and gain a general happy, warm fuzzy, feeling that you can take with you every day!
